SAUTED FRENCH BEANS

SAUTED FRENCH BEANS

250 grams “Malagos Farmhouse” freshly picked French beans       

1   head garlic, chopped

125  grams ground pork and or        

125 g mushrooms, fresh or canned        

3 tsp corn starch       

½ tsp salt or to taste

¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper

4 Tbsp virgin olive oil + 2 Tbsp butter

1/2 cup water and 1 pork boullion or

1/2 cup pork or chicken stock

 

Put ground pork in a hot non stick pan to render fat, drain oil and set   aside.

Put 4 Tbsp virgin olive oil and butter in medium heat pan.

Saute garlic to medium brown.

Add washed beans and cook  for about 5 minutes in high heat and   cover, stirring a few times.  

Mix in drained pork or mushrooms and pork boullion, stir.

Dissolve cornstarch in 1/2 cup of water.  Thicken with dissolved cornstarch, put salt and pepper to taste.

Serve immediately.

For added kick, add 1/4 tsp dried pepper flakes
